A few things to keep in mind before you film.

You need a Prept student account. Already have one? You're set. New here? Create one here — free, takes about two minutes. Must be in good standing, age 18+ (or 13+ with parental consent for the cash prize).

Public Instagram Reel only. Private accounts and stories don't qualify. Carousel posts and static images don't count.

Caption must include #GetMedPrept. No hashtag, no entry. Add it before the post goes live.

Invite @med_prept as a collaborator at post time. We'll accept; the Reel appears on both feeds and shares the like count automatically.

Topic: your Prept experience. A session, a teacher, a study win, a comparison, your setup, an application story. The connection to Prept has to be real and visible in the Reel itself.

Be honest, be kind. Don't trash specific teachers, classmates, or programs by name. Real stories travel further than rage anyway.

Keep it clean. Nothing offensive, lewd, vulgar, or that violates patient privacy. We'll disqualify entries that cross the line.

Multiple entries allowed. Each qualifying Reel = one separately-judged post. Likes are tallied per Reel — pick your strongest one to push.

No fake engagement. Bot likes, paid pods, or purchased promotion = automatic disqualification. We check.

Teachers and students share the hashtag. The teacher version of #GetMedPrept uses the same tag and collab requirement, but is judged in a separate bucket — your Reel only competes against other student Reels.

Prept is a marketplace for medical educators — you create a student account, browse teachers, and book sessions or buy content. The student version of #GetMedPrept rewards you for sharing how Prept fits into your study life on Instagram.
It helps a lot. Reels that show real experience travel further (and are easier to judge). If you haven't taken a session yet, get one on the books before you film — even a short consultation works. Honesty wins; staged Reels read as staged.
Yes — create a free account at /auth, browse teachers, book a session that gives you something genuine to talk about. As long as your account is active and your first qualifying Reel is up before Oct 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, you're in.
When posting your Reel on Instagram: tap Tag People → Invite Collaborator, search med_prept, and select us. We accept invites within 24 hours. Once accepted, the Reel shows on both your feed and ours, and likes are shared between both posts.
Yes — naming a teacher (or tagging their Prept profile) is encouraged if you have something nice to say. It also gives the teacher a heads-up so they can re-share. Just don't name a teacher in a critical context; if your story is about a bad experience elsewhere, keep it generic.
Get a quick OK from anyone who's identifiable in the Reel. If you film a session, ask the teacher first — most are happy to be filmed but the courtesy matters. Patient stories from clinical experiences need to be fully de-identified.
Without both, the Reel doesn't count toward the contest. The good news: you can edit the caption to add the hashtag after posting, and you can send the collab invite up to 30 days after the Reel goes live. Just don't wait until Oct 31 at 11:50 PM.
Yes — post as many qualifying Reels as you want. Each one is judged independently by like count. We rank the top three at contest close — your highest-liked Reel is the one that competes for 1st, but a second strong Reel could land 2nd or 3rd.
We screenshot the like count on each @med_prept-collaborated post at exactly Oct 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. The three Reels with the highest like counts (across all entrants) win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Since collab posts share likes across both feeds automatically, this is straightforward — no double-counting needed.
